Nothing is ever final until it’s written in cake!

Or something like that haha

But a couple of days ago something amazing happened. I had my 1,000th piece of writing published. Yes, I have a list that I keep track of. It’s a thing.

I never set out to be a writer. I never imagined that I’d get this far or that such a cake would taste so sweet, but fate is funny like that.

My career has been a mixture of hard work, luck, talent, and faith. I’ve had some serious blows and some crazy breaks, but I just keep going because… well, what else can I do?

It’s been 12 years of professional publishing now and it’s all I can really do at this point. Yes, there are still days where I want to quit, but that’s the thing about following your calling. You have to commit.

Conviction and commitment are very important to me. If anyone wants to really know how to make something of themselves in life those are definitely necessary.

You have to believe in what you’re doing and you have to wholly commit to it. That’s it. My recipe for 1,000 articles, essays, stories, and books being published.
