Trump Praises Those Who Made ‘Sound of Freedom’ at Private Screening

I can’t imagine why anyone would criticize a movie about the horrors of child trafficking, unless they support it.

Tim Ballard’s story is harrowing and I love that Jim Caviezel notes, during the credits, that the true heroes of the story are the brother and sister who survived being trafficked.

It is a life-altering film. Although I’ve attended a Human Rights Commission event in 2005 or 2005 — which detailed all the terrifying facts about human trafficking — and I’ve been following the situation for years, this film really brings the reality of this underground trade to light and does so while also offering viewers hope.

Seeing a rescue operation reminds us that we can do something.

I was taught that child molesters and traffickers seek out lonely children or unattended children because they are more easily lured into human trafficking rings. Because of this my children and I always look out for unattended children or the lonely kids at the playground and elsewhere in public.

It’s a small gesture that may or may not prevent a child from suffering.

My sister also noted that before becoming a Sunday school teacher for the Catholic church she was required to undergo training to spot the signs of sexual abuse so she can report it properly.

This is a wonderful policy that I hope all churches adopt.

But everyone can be vigilant and do their part to ensure that vulnerable children are not harmed. I’m truly inspired by the film, as was President Trump at his private screening of the film last night.

Tim Ballard was there and received praise.
