I love nature. I want to protect the environment, but using “climate change” as a scapegoat after the most deadly wildfire in recent U.S. history leveled a town is irresponsible.
There were three very serious factors that need to be properly investigated in this situation.
- Maui’s brush problem has been an issue for years. Officials have been warning leaders and community members that the brush in the area was just waiting to spread fire.
- Hawaii Electric Co. did not cut power when power lines went down, nor did they upgrade their systems to prevent the unthinkable before the disaster.
- The people in charge of the water supply refused to release more water resources to firefighters until 5 hours into the blazes. Gov. Green himself said this was a “mile a minute” fire, yet he pretends to be unsure about negligence while pushing the climate change button?
The people of Maui, Hawaii, and America deserve better from their leaders. Read my full article for all the details.
This is so sad. Climate change is not the cause of every tragedy.
