COMER: ‘THERE WILL BE MORE ACCOUNTABILITY TO COME’ FOR CHEATLE AFTER RESIGNATION

It took way too long for Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle to resign. Her disastrous testimony before the House yesterday proved that she is unfit to lead the top security detail.

Cheatle has made every competent woman look bad.

I don’t know that I would trust any woman to head the Secret Service just due to the obvious physical difference between men and women, but she not only failed President Trump and his rally attendees, she failed all Americans.

In addition, she didn’t apologize or answer any questions during her testimony yesterday.

Thankfully, one good thing may have come from this awful tragedy, both Republicans and Democrats condemned the Secret Service failures and Cheatle for her incompetence.

Now, The House Oversight Committee is seeking to take this investigation further. It doesn’t matter that she resigned, a man lost his life and others were critically injured. President Trump nearly lost his life.

These are not mere accidents that can be remedied with a resignation. At the very least, Cheatle and everyone who didn’t immediately act should be prosecuted for reckless endangerment.

Personally, I think Cheatle should be tried for treason.
