America First supporters celebrate religious freedom: Merry Christmas, Blessed Yule, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year, and all the trimmings

I love this time of year and I hope you do too!

It’s silly to me that some grown men and women don’t realize how lucky/blessed they are when they fight over terminology. “It’s Merry Christmas! Not Happy Holidays.” I’ve heard a lot of this lately. One dude posted online that “Happy Holidays” is banned from his house…

I really hope he was trolling haha

Now, I’m gonna give the left some credit here because I’ve never had someone correct me if I say Blessed Yule. Never been an issue, but I have had people scream at me for not saying Merry Christmas–in person, while at work– and guess what religious and political spectrum they’re on? Not the left…and not Atheism…

(I say this as a conservative haha)

If you’re truly America First, you support Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion. That’s means it shouldn’t matter how someone greets you this season, just so long as they are spreading good cheer.

I grew up poor, so maybe that has something to do with it, but my latest op-ed is all about the wonders of the American holiday season and the beautiful people who celebrate it.

Having known poverty, I also had to write about the absurdity of adults arguing over simple words that basically mean the same thing. I wish they realized how wonderful their life must be to have so few struggles that other people’s words matter that much to them.

“When you’re struggling, it doesn’t matter how someone wishes you well – all that matters is that they do.”
