My older kids may be in the sassy teen stage, but my littles are still in the “everything is wonderful” stage of life. Whatever age my kids are that my favorite age for them.

I loved when they were babies. I love my toddler and my little kids. And I love joking with my sassy teens, who now understand life from a more complex view.

But the older kids aren’t as into exploring as much as they used to be, so my nature photography games are spent mainly with my smaller three musketeers. My red head is my luck charm. He always spots the best stuff first. We met a turtle, a tiny toad no bigger than my pinky nail, and endless birds on our latest travels.

Spotting the small stuff is easy when you look hard enough. And it always helps to have little eyes helping.
