Teachers are everywhere. Lessons don’t always take place in the classroom or when you’re prepared, but the importance of always remaining a student are evident.
I’ve had many teachers school me in the art of writing. Some traditional, and some just silly old novelists who offer advice. No matter how you obtain knowledge, running with it is always the best part.
My latest contribution has now become my most successful piece of writing.
We just hit #14 in our genre on amazon and though it has a bit of a way to go to being a bestseller, it’s a personal best and THAT shows progress. Careers like this are all about climbing the mountain, reaching the footholds and looking onward.
My first children’s book had previously gotten me as far as #18 in a completely different genre. This, this is just…indescribable.
My story is about one of my most influential English teachers, and the entire collection is a fun book that gives insight into both sides of the learning experience. I’m a home schooler as well, which is NOT easy and not to be taken lightly. My deep respect for teachers of all kinds makes this a read for everybody, but as Teacher Appreciation week is next week, and right around Mother’s Day as well (Double Bonus for teacher moms! haha) I find myself thinking more about classroom experiences.
So thanks to all the awesome teachers out there!
