While most teachers go on strike for better pay, or more reasonable benefits, these teachers are striking because they want more music, art, and PE classes. All the while the districts ranks 2 out of 10 for reading and math proficiency and teachers have been absent more often than students. Seems to me like maybe this union is a bit “privileged.”
