By mid 2020 anyone with the smarts to look up the numbers themselves understood that COVID wasn’t deadly to children or most adults, but plenty of youth organizations still demanded that we muzzle our kids as if they had rabies. They expected parents to inject an experimental vaccine that hadn’t finished proper clinical trials into our bodies to fulfill volunteer requirements. Those of us who refrained had fun in our own backyards, and now that these programs are hurting for participants, we’re not going back.
