Gingerbread pyramid?

My husband told me he didn’t want to decorate a gingerbread house this year.

We started this tradition ages ago. The kids and us get to each decorate a gingerbread house however we want after I bake a bajillion batches of fresh homemade gingerbread from scratch. (You haven’t had gingerbread unless you’ve had it fresh from scratch!)

I was like, “But you have to!” and we went back and forth until he declared: I’ll only decorate one if it’s a pyramid.

He thought this would deter me, but I set to work measuring and preparing, and he got his triangles set to become a pyramid.

The 4 triangles didn’t quite fit together though; dough does what it wants when baked, so it doesn’t matter how you measure and cut it. It won’t be perfect.

During our big decorating fest, my husband found that three sides worked perfectly and went to town.

He even hand cut a little Anubis cookie to go with it.

How “festive” haha

Although a 3-sided pyramid is really a tetrahedron, but we’ll just keep that between us.
