I feel grateful every time one of my stories gets published. When I get paid for it, that’s even better, but for me one of the best parts of writing is when an artist captures your work. I’m the writer who enjoys writing the acknowledgements page of a book more than royalty checks. haha But the only thing that comes close to being able to shout out the people who keep me going, is seeing the images my words bring to life.

I’m never disappointed by the artists I am lucky enough to work with. Holly Eddy did this picture and I’m nuts about it. The same way I was nuts about Laura Winship-Fanaei’s illustrations of my children’s book. My mind is always blown by other people’s interpretations of the visuals that I attempt to create in every story.
