The rise and fall of book sales…
It can be nerve wrecking. I try not to check stats too often, but it is important to know where your books stand. Monday mornings are usually very kind to me. Sales tend to go up and reviews often come through on Mondays.
This Monday is no different. My children’s book, My Family Is Different, is back up to #278 in large print children’s. Not bad. And my other books are holding steady. With two upcoming releases making their way, I don’t know that I could ask for more. Maybe to book another event. I just did one last week and I love it so much.
Events are often on on near the weekends and it never fails, do an event, sales will go up across the board. People talk. they enjoy getting to meet authors and might not nab a book in person, but you’ll be remembered when they do some online shopping. I do the same thing. Sometimes you want to read reviews if you’re not sure, and reviews are an author’s best friend.
I can’t thank the readers who leave reviews enough!
Each review helps aid with sharing my stories. And that’s what this is really all about. I always say, I’m not a writer, I’m a storyteller. My writing skills are improving and my books have gained some great reviews, but the story is always what truly matters.
All of this is waiting for me in March…ugh! PS: I’m running a two sentence story challenge over at my blog. Feel free to join the fun!
