I created this pattern, so please don’t try to take credit for it or charge for this cutie. I’m sharing it because I know I love free patterns and times are tough.
Every year I give my kids one crocheted gift for Yule (these work for any holiday or just for fun), so if you’re down on fundage but still spreading the love I highly recommend it.
You can use any yarn and any hook but I’m partial to the simply soft Caron variety. Red and black are traditional but any color works.
So have at it:
Top Body, red (or variant color)
-Ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook
-2sc in ea st around=12 st
-2sc next st, 1sc in next 6 times=18 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 2 st 6xs =24 st
-2sc next st, 1 sc next 3 st 6xs=30 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 4 st 6xs=36 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 5st 6xs=42 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 6 st 6xs=48 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 7 st 6 xs=54 st
-2sc next st, 1 sc next 8 st 6xs=60 st
-Sc in ea st around 10xs=(600sc) fasten off, leave long string end for sewing together
Spots, black (make 5)
-2ch 6sc in 2nd st from hook
-2sc in each st=12 st
-2sc in next st, 1sc in next 6xs=18 st
-leave long end for sewing
-sew to red top half of body
Bottom Body, black
-ch 2 6sc in 2nd ch from hook
-2sc in ea st around=12 st
-2sc next st, 1sc in next 6 times=18 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 2 st 6xs =24 st
-2sc next st, 1 sc next 3 st 6xs=30 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 4 st 6xs=36 st

Sew body halves together ¾ of the way, then stuff and finish sewing together.
Head, black
-ch2, 6sc in 2nd st from hook
-2sc in ea st around=12 st
-2sc next st, 1sc in next 6 times=18 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 2 st 6xs =24 st
-2sc next st, 1 sc next 3 st 6xs=30 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 4 st 6xs=36 st
-2sc next st, 1sc next 5st 6xs=42 st
Fasten, leave end for sewing
Fold in half, stuff and sew closed, then sew head with round part out onto body
Legs, black (make 6)
-ch 2 6sc in 2nd ch from hook
-sc in each st around 10 rounds
Fasten off and sew to body proportionately
