I highly relate to this story. A lot of us public education kids weren’t taught about the true history of socialism. Maoist China in the 80s, the havoc in Cambodia in the 70s, Stalanism during WWII.

If it weren’t for my love of nonfiction, I’d probably fall for the idea that socialism is good for everyone, even as people starve to death in Venezuela. The left has gone so far left that most moderates are switching to the right. And the right is being redefined.
