Kids are expected to sit at a desk for hours and if they struggle to hold still the system wants to medicate them. Throw in the fact that the American diet is full of excess sugars (meant to be burned off through physical activity), and kids are spending more time staring at a screen and “behavioral issues” are found everywhere. In addition, the symptoms of trauma almost exactly mimic those of ADHD.
