I always hate sitting on good news. I wanna scream it everywhere, but never ever (well mostly never) spill the beans before contracts are signed and everything is in place.

My story “Box of Balloons,” has been selected to be featured in the new Chicken Soup for the Soul: Tales of Christmas book.

It comes out in October and is sure to make everyone laugh and smile. This shares one of my favorite gifts and how it became an accidental family tradition.

I know I’ve shared some of my sadder stories before but I always prefer the fun ones. The silly stuff is wayyyyy more worthy of publishing because life is the best gift, no matter what we’ve been through.

If any of you are long-time readers, you may remember my old YouTube channel and the Wacky Wednesday posts, and right in there was footage of my two little girls unwrapping the best gift ever: A Box of Balloons. But there’s an untold history there that also plays into my kids’ future.
