The holiday season is officially kicked off in my house. Halloween is a big one for us and I only have one more costume to finish before everyone is ready for all the fun.
But before we know it, the smell of turkey and pumpkin pie will be everywhere and then I’ll be annoying my kids with Mariah Carey carols. And as crazy as the holidays can be, there’s one book series that I get to slow down with to wrap myself up in all the wonders of the season.
My latest work in “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Tales of Christmas” reminds me that the best gifts don’t cost much at all.
Not only that, but next month I will be signing books at the Barnes and Noble off of Mid Rivers Mall Drive in the city of St. Peters, Missouri.
From 11-3 on Saturday, Nov. 23rd I’ll be there with authors Tess Clarkson and Pat Wahler.
Book signings are a true gift for a writer. I used to do book tours every year, but then I had a gaggle of children and the industry shifted away from in-person events in 2020. I’ve really missed being out there with my readers. And I’ve never done a signing at Barnes. So this will be yet another gift this season. Maybe I’ll bring some special treats for everyone to share.
