Our new co-op is off to a running start with dozens of students and tons of parent involvement. It was hard to know what to do as our co-op broke up and split off, but we found our way and I’m back to teaching writing.
Best of all, my students and I have formed a new literary magazine called: the Pepper Paper. (Since our new co-op is called S.A.L.T-Students Achieving Learning Together). I mean salt & pepper just go together, and there’s tons of flavor in students’ stories and artwork.
Here’s the logo for now. It’s going to get spruced up, BUT one of our students designed it:

So I’m happy to ask homeschooled students ages 10-18 from anywhere in the United States to send their short stories, poetry, artwork, photography, and more to saltpepperpaper@gmail.com.
Please put Submission in the subject line of the email and upload an attachment file of your work. Include your name, grade, city, and the title of the work somewhere in the file and/or within the email.
Parents, please include a permission statement for your student that includes their name, title of the work and date of the submission (this can be done in the same email).
Example, My daughter, _____, has permission to submit her work “_____” on this day_____.

I love teaching and encouraging young minds to grow, expand, and explore. Submissions will be open until Oct 31st and the first issue of this exciting new publication will be released in December!
