These big end of year standardized tests generally don’t measure how much a child has learned; they merely display who is good at taking tests. Thankfully people are finally realizing this. High test scores have little to no connection to a child’s later successes in life.

I was horrid at taking tests. I learn best through experimentation and other hands-on practices. Doing rather than filling in bubbles has served me much better than sitting around learning how to answer factorized questions.
