There are some experiences that stay with us no matter how short or small. Last summer I took my kids to the park and didn’t expect anything out of the ordinary. Like always they found a new friend but this kid was a little different.
So much of parenting is instinctual. We react as we need to in the moment, but I clearly remember having a conscious moment where I realized that my actions were going to set the course of the evening. It was a good thought and a good day and we all had fun.
